For more than 40 years, Sonic has worked to build its dominant position in the drive-in restaurant business and create a franchise system that offers extraordinary entrepreneurial opportunities in the quick-service restaurant industry. Sonic Drive-Ins offer made-to-order sandwiches and feature signature items such as Extra-Long Cheese Coneys, hand-battered onion rings, tater tots, and a variety of Frozen and Fountain Favorites, including cherry limeades, slushes, and a complete soft-serve dessert menu. At a typical Sonic Drive-In, the customer drives into one of 24 to 36 covered parking spaces and orders made-to-order food through an intercom speaker system. The customer's order is delivered by a carhop usually within four minutes. For a number of years, Sonic has consistently maintained strong real sales growth and industry-leading customer frequency.

Sonic Drive In Limeades

I love Sonic Limeades yet the nearest Sonic is over 2 hours away. So just had to crack the code to their signature beverage. It is so very simple. Here is the recipe.
INGREDIENTS
1 (1 ounce) can of Sprite soda (use diet if you like)
1/2 lime, cut into wedges
1/4 cup of fruit juice
DIRECTIONS
  1. Fill a large glass two-thirds full with ice.
  2. Pour the Sprite into the glass.
  3. Squeeze the lime wedges over the glass, then drop the wedges into the glass.
  4. Add the juice.
  5. Serve with a straw or stirrer.

GRAPE LIMEADE
Sonic Copycat Recipe

Makes 1 Large Pitcher

1 12 oz. can limeade concentrate, thawed
2 (pkgs) grape Kool-aid
1 (2 liter)  bottle sprite
Fresh limes, optional

Combine limeade and koolaid until no lumps exist.
In a large pitcher or bowl, mix together the limeade/grape mixture and the sprite until well combined. {Don't stir too vigorously, or the carbonation in the Sprite will all go away. Listen to someone who knows from experience.}
Slice your limes and add it to the mix.
